Part of our mission at the Naturalist’s Notebook is to provide visitors and community members opportunities to collaborate with and learn from naturalists, scientists, and artists. We love making these connections and try our best to offer workshops and events at-cost. If program fees are preventing you from participating, please let us know and we will find a way to accommodate!

25% - 75% (mostly 75%!) off HUNDREDS of science, nature, and art titles, as well as toys, games, notebooks, posters, and MORE. There will also be lots of FREE STUFF. We’re clearing out various display stands that may be of interest to local businesses. TEACHERS: we’re also parting with some of our beloved educational exhibits and panels from years past. We’re hoping these will find new homes in classrooms and home-schools! This year’s Back Deck Book Sale will be just about twice as big and twice as discounted as last year’s, and will probably never again reach such an epic scale, so don’t miss out! All day (weather permitting): 10am-5pm Friday 9/16 and Saturday 9/17.
